In addition to including all the features women love about our original Avant Garde Spats, these specialty spats feature graphics designed exclusively for Gaidama. With artwork inspired by the Japanese practice of Kintsugi or "golden repair" in which broken pottery is mended using lacquers mixed with powdered gold, we are reminded to honor what broken pieces of ourselves we have mended as a part of our history rather than view them as something to hide.
