Shibui pairs a lightweight 380 GSM pearl weave jacket with exceptionally light 240 GSM gingham twill pants to create our lightest youth Jiu Jitsu gi yet.

Every fabric was developed specifically for the demands of Jiu Jitsu, beginning with premium superfine cotton yarns selected for softness, strength, and breathability. The result is a gi that feels noticeably lighter without feeling flimsy—ideal for young competitors trying to make weight, athletes training in hot conditions, or kids who simply prefer less bulk on the mat.

High-stress areas are reinforced throughout, including the cuffs, hems, knees, groin, and side vents, giving Shibui the durability to handle everyday training despite its ultralight construction.

The Shibui Youth Gi uses dedicated youth proportions throughout the jacket and pants, with shaping through the back of the jacket to reduce the boxy fit common in traditional Jiu Jitsu gis.

Tonal Gaidama embroidery blends into the fabric rather than competing with it, creating a clean, nearly monochromatic look inspired by the minimalist aesthetic of our signature Ninja Suit™ collection.

The only additional exterior details are discreet woven labels identifying the composition and GSM of the jacket and pants, included in accordance with current IBJJF competition uniform requirements.
