Description

This light-as-a-feather youth gi for BJJ kids features custom-made fabrics engineered for superior breathability without compromising durability. This is the perfect lightweight competition gi for kids who need to make weight for an upcoming BJJ competition - or for young grapplers who just want to keep from overheating while they are training Jiu Jitsu.

This premium kids' BJJ gi features light and breathable 240 GSM Gingham Twill weave pants and a 380 GSM Pearl weave jacket. Our kimono fabrics are engineered from scratch, and optimized for strength, comfort, and breathability. The process begins by sourcing ultra-premium superfine cotton yarns that maintain softness through wash cycles. Our team of expert textile enthusiasts then develop these fibers into an ultralight weave for an incredibly light and breathable youth BJJ gi. The cuffs, hems, knees, groin, and waist splits are all structurally reinforced to ensure maximum resistance at all high-stress points during intense BJJ training.

The back of our youth gi jacket boasts clever stitching patterns that provide definition and shape to counter the typical boxy nature of Jiu Jitsu kimonos. Gaidama's kids' gis were designed for little warriors who want to train in the gi and look good doing it. These BJJ kimonos were designed to keep young Jiu Jitsu athletes of all body types totally covered, comfortable, and confident in the training room and on the competition mats.

This youth gi was designed in compliance with IBJJF's latest gi uniform guidelines. In 2024, the IBJJF updated their gi uniform rules, introducing strict requirements that prevent a lot of older Jiu Jitsu gis from passing inspection at IBJJF events. For young competitors looking for a lightweight gi to make weight for competition, or simply for a lightweight gi to keep them cool while they train BJJ, this comp ultralight gi is the answer. Our Comp Ultralight Jiu Jitsu Gi for kids checks all the boxes for IBJJF uniform inspection and is completely legal to compete in at IBJJF events and all other BJJ tournaments where a gi is required to compete.

The design of Gaidama's comp ultralight gi is subtle. Our color-matching embroidery featuring the Gaidama logo offers a truly minimalist aesthetic in line with Gaidama’s signature "Ninja Suit" look. The only other outward-facing details are small woven labels indicating the composition and GSM of the youth gi pants and jacket, in compliance with IBJJF's latest competition uniform guidelines.

Shrinkage
