Shibui pairs a lightweight 380 GSM pearl weave jacket with exceptionally light 240 GSM gingham twill pants to create our lightest women’s Jiu Jitsu gi yet.

Every fabric was selected and engineered around the demands of Jiu Jitsu, balancing breathability and comfort with the strength required for hard training and competition. The result is a gi that feels noticeably lighter without feeling flimsy—ideal for competitors trying to make weight, athletes training in hot conditions, or anyone who simply prefers less bulk on the mat.

High-stress areas are reinforced throughout, including the cuffs, hems, knees, groin, and side vents, adding durability exactly where an ultralight gi needs it most.

Shibui isn’t a men’s gi made smaller.

The jacket is patterned specifically for female proportions, with shaping through the waist, hips, bust, and shoulders and strategic stitching through the back to create definition without restricting movement.

The pants feature Gaidama’s signature high-rise waist, designed to sit securely above the hip bones for better coverage and a stay-put fit through hard rounds. A slightly stretchy drawstring moves with you and helps keep the waistband comfortably in place.

Together, these details create a streamlined, athletic fit designed to keep you covered, comfortable, and confident without the excess fabric and boxiness common in traditional Jiu Jitsu gis.

The only additional exterior details are discreet woven labels identifying the composition and GSM of the jacket and pants, included in accordance with current IBJJF competition uniform requirements.
